King Abdulaziz University (KAU) and the International Medical Center (IMC) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to initiate joint research projects and enhance health-related research and clinical training for students. The agreement aims to strengthen cooperation and achieve shared objectives in supporting both the healthcare and academic sectors.

The MoU was signed by Prof. Nahla Qahwaji, Dean of the Faculty of Human Sciences and Design at KAU, and Dr. Walid Fitaihi, Chief Executive Officer of the International Medical Center.

The agreement establishes a sustainable and comprehensive partnership between the two institutions, focusing on impactful joint research, the development of research and clinical skills, collaborative training programs, and future research initiatives in the healthcare sector.

Under this agreement, both parties will collaborate on a range of joint research projects across health-related disciplines and provide hands-on training opportunities in clinical and research environments to help students build essential competencies. The International Medical Center will facilitate access to data for current and future research projects, with a mutual understanding on data sharing. The two institutions will also conduct collaborative studies in healthcare and medical fields by leveraging their respective expertise and resources. Additionally, access to clinical settings will be provided for data collection, while both parties will work together to analyze outcomes and produce impactful research findings, all in adherence to the highest standards of scientific integrity and research ethics.

King Abdulaziz University continues to prioritize strategic partnerships with both public and private sector organizations to foster collaboration, exchange expertise, and maximize shared resources.

This MoU reflects KAU’s commitment to promoting scientific research, developing national healthcare talent, and enhancing service quality, in alignment with Saudi Vision 2030.
